Plex’s lifetime subscription, which currently costs $249.99, will triple in price to $749.99, making it less of an attractive option for those looking to stream their own media content from home without paying an arm and leg. To make a lifetime sub worthwhile at the new rate, you’d need to subscribe for over 11 years at the current annual rate. Plex has reportedly increased the price more than twice in the past year alone, with the initial increase being $119.99 to $249.99 in March last year.
