PS5 Prices Set to Skyrocket
Sony is making significant changes to the pricing strategy of its PlayStation 5 consoles starting April 2nd, with the standard model now costing $649.99, up from $549.99, and the PS5 Digital Edition priced at $599.99, a $100 increase from its previous price point. Additionally, Sony is increasing the price of the PlayStation 5 Pro to $899.99, also a $150 hike. The company is also revising the pricing for its accessory, the PlayStation Portal, which will now cost $249.99, up from $199.99. This change marks the second significant price hike in less than a year, with Sony having increased prices by $50 across all three PS5 models last August. The revised prices are attributed to ongoing market pressures.
