Rebranding Gmail is now a breeze with Google's latest update
Google has introduced a new feature that allows users to change their Gmail addresses, making it easier to switch to a new alias or simply rebrand themselves online. To do this, go to your Gmail settings by clicking on the gear icon in the upper right corner of the inbox page and selecting “See all settings.” Scroll down to the “General” tab, click on “View the original Gmail address,” and then select “Change email address.” Once you’ve confirmed that you want to change your address, follow these steps:
- Click on “Next.”
- Enter your new Gmail address in the “Primary email” field.
- Re-enter your new address in the “Verify account” field by following the prompts.
- Once verified, click on “Save Changes.” Note that if you’ve already set up two-factor authentication (2FA) on your old address, you’ll need to enable it again on your new address to maintain the same level of security. Google’s update also offers other features such as email forwarding and filters, allowing users to seamlessly transition their email accounts without missing a single message.
