Refurbished 2021 Kindle Paperwhite Available for $49.99
Amazon is offering refurbished versions of its 2021 Kindle Paperwhite e-reader at Woot, starting at just $49.99 for the base model with a lockscreen ad and 8GB of storage. The devices come with a 90-day warranty and can be purchased by Amazon Prime members for free shipping. While the refurb models show signs of moderate wear and tear, they are still fully functional. Woot is also selling non-S&D (scratch and dent) models of the Paperwhite with ads, starting at $69.99, as well as a refurbished Signature Edition with wireless charging, adjustable backlight, and four times the storage, for $99.99. The 2021 Kindle Paperwhite boasts robust IPX8 waterproofing and a 6.8-inch display, but its UI is less responsive than newer models. It still offers monthslong battery life and USB-C support, making it a viable option for those looking to upgrade from older devices. Given that Amazon will be discontinuing support for pre-2012 Kindle devices on May 20th, 2026, this refurbished promo couldn’t come at a better time. Although the prices may not seem like a huge discount, purchasing a refurbished Paperwhite could save users money compared to buying the latest model, which would cost nearly three times as much even with a 20% discount.
