Rivian's revenue on track as R2 production gains momentum
Rivian’s first-quarter earnings report has shed more light on the company’s financial health as it commences mass production for its highly anticipated R2 electric vehicle. In a strong quarterly performance, Rivian sold 10,365 vehicles in Q1, representing a 20% year-over-year increase and surpassing analyst expectations. The automaker also reported a significant surge in production, with 10,236 units manufactured at its Illinois factory during the same period, up by 30% compared to last year’s first quarter. Furthermore, Rivian reaffirmed its revenue guidance for 2026, predicting sales of between 62,000 and 67,000 vehicles for the year.
