Rockstar Games Employees' Union Busting Allegations Continue
A UK employment tribunal has rejected a plea from fired Rockstar Games employees to receive interim pay while waiting for a full hearing about their dismissal, according to reports from Bloomberg and IGN. The Independent Workers’ Union of Great Britain (IWGB) had accused the company of “union busting” after 34 employees were let go last year – 31 from the UK and three from Canada. Rockstar claimed that the dismissed employees had leaked confidential information through a Discord channel, fuelling the union’s allegations. The tribunal’s decision was made during a two-day hearing that concluded last week.
