Samsung Raises Prices on Galaxy Phones and Tablets
In a series of price increases, Samsung has raised the costs of several Galaxy devices, including the Z Flip 7, S25 FE, and S25 Edge smartphones, as well as the Galaxy Z Fold 7 tablet. Starting with its flagship models, higher storage capacity devices are now commanding significantly higher prices than their lower storage counterparts. The most substantial price hikes have been observed in the high-end models, where devices equipped with 512GB of storage are now being sold for up to $80 more than their base versions. These increases mean that consumers looking to purchase these premium Galaxy devices will need to shell out additional cash, potentially impacting sales and consumer demand. The latest round of price hikes follows Samsung’s previous increase in the Galaxy Z Fold 7, where its 1TB model has jumped from $2,419 to $2,499 and the 512GB version has risen from $2,119 to $2,199. The increases signal a broader trend within the tech industry, as companies adjust their pricing strategies in response to shifting market conditions. For consumers looking for alternative options, Samsung’s price hikes may present an opportunity to explore other phone manufacturers that offer similar features at more competitive prices.
