Samsung Unveils AirDrop Support on Galaxy S26 Series, Bridging Wireless File Sharing Between Android and iOS Devices
Samsung is introducing AirDrop support to its Quick Share feature on select devices, starting with the high-end Galaxy S26 series, which includes the S26 Ultra model. The feature will initially roll out in Korea today, with US devices expected to receive it later this week. Samsung plans to expand the availability of AirDrop across more regions and devices “at a later date,” including North America, Latin America, Europe, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, Japan, and Taiwan. This update enables Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, and S26 Ultra owners to share files with Apple devices using a fast wireless connection. With this addition, Samsung becomes the second Android smartphone manufacturer to integrate AirDrop functionality, further solidifying its position as a major player in the mobile ecosystem.
