Spotify Payouts Surpass $11 Billion for 2025 Year

Spotify has announced a significant increase in royalty payments to the music industry, paying out over $11 billion in 2025. This represents a 30% share of the entire recording industry’s revenue and surpasses last year’s total by $1 billion. The figure only accounts for royalties paid to artists, songwriters, and record labels, excluding merchandising, ticket sales, audiobook royalties, and podcasting deals.
