Surface Pro 12 and Surface Laptop 8 Get Intel Boost Ahead of Snapdragon Models
Microsoft has released its latest Surface Pro and Surface Laptop models, which come with Intel’s Core Ultra Series 3 processors. The new Surface Pro 12, also known as the Surface Pro for Business 13-inch (12th Edition), is now available to businesses starting at $1,949.99. The base model features an Intel Core Ultra 5 processor and will likely be used by those looking for a more powerful device without breaking the bank. In contrast, similar models with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X2 processors are expected later this year. However, Microsoft is prioritizing the release of its Surface Pro 12 and Surface Laptop 8 with Intel chips, demonstrating its focus on business customers who require robust performance. Microsoft had previously released Arm-powered versions of these devices last year, but it took longer to introduce Intel-based models. This time around, the company has opted for a faster rollout, suggesting that business users are demanding more powerful hardware at an accelerated pace.
