T-Mobile to Introduce Real-Time Language Translation on All Calls

T-Mobile is set to launch a groundbreaking new feature that will enable real-time language translation on all phone calls, regardless of the device or app used. Dubbed “Live Translation,” this innovative technology uses artificial intelligence (AI) to decipher and interpret conversations in over 50 languages. The beta rollout is expected to commence in Spring, with eligible T-Mobile customers able to sign up for the feature starting immediately. According to the telecommunications giant, the primary goal of Live Translation is to bridge language gaps and facilitate more meaningful connections between people from diverse linguistic backgrounds. By integrating this cutting-edge technology at the network level, users will no longer require specialized apps or extensions to enjoy seamless language translation. Instead, Live Translation will seamlessly overlay translated speech in real-time, ensuring that conversations are always accessible and inclusive.
