Tesla's robotaxis Priced Below Waymo as Wait Times Soar
Tesla has taken a different approach to pricing its robotic ride-sharing service, with prices coming in lower than that of Waymo’s fully driverless cars. However, according to a new report from Obi, a ride-hailing app aggregator, wait times for Tesla’s robotaxis remain longer compared to those offered by traditional ride-hail services like Uber and Lyft. The analysis published by Obi found that while prices per mile are generally lower for Tesla’s service, riders are willing to pay a premium for the convenience of shorter wait times. This suggests that customers prioritize reliability over cost when choosing between competing ride-sharing options.
