Tiny 4K Gimbal Webcam Debuts with Ambitious but Questionable Value
The Obsbot Tiny 3 is a compact 4K gimbal webcam that weighs just 63 grams, making it one of the smallest PTZ webcams on the market. However, its price tag of $349 has raised eyebrows among tech enthusiasts. When compared to the Insta360 Link 2 Pro, which boasts a similar sensor size and AI-powered features for $249, the Tiny 3’s value becomes questionable. One notable advantage of the Tiny 3 is its MEMS microphones, which Obsbot claims outperform condenser mics in filtering unwanted noise. Additionally, the webcam offers voice control and voice tracking capabilities. Nevertheless, despite these features, the Tiny 3 Lite, a more affordable option with similar specs, weighs more and measures larger than expected. During my testing of the Tiny 3, I found its performance to be impressive, capturing crisp 4K video without any noticeable lag or stuttering. However, whether or not its compact design and advanced features justify its premium price remains a matter for debate.
