US Federal Agencies Flock to Anthropic's Mythos Cybersecurity Tool Amid CISA Exclusion
Several US federal agencies have begun adopting Anthropic’s new cybersecurity model, Mythos, in an effort to bolster their security posture and identify vulnerabilities. However, a key player – the nation’s central cybersecurity coordinator – has reportedly opted out of the system. According to Axios, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) lacks access to Mythos Preview, a tool touted by Anthropic as a powerful resource for identifying and patching security vulnerabilities. On the other hand, agencies such as Commerce Department and National Security Agency (NSA) have reportedly begun utilizing the model. It is worth noting that President Donald Trump’s administration has been actively negotiating broader access to the Mythos system. The details of this arrangement remain unclear at present.
