US Users Experiencing Issues with TikTok Due to Data Center Power Outage
TikTok has attributed the ongoing outages and issues affecting its US users to a power outage at one of its data centers in the country. According to Jamie Favazza, spokesperson for TikTok’s US operations, the company is working diligently to restore its services as soon as possible. The issue began early Sunday morning and affected not only TikTok but also other apps operating on the joint venture’s X platform. Users reported difficulties in uploading videos and viewing new content, including some successful uploads from users outside of the US. Despite efforts by TikTok to resolve the situation, many users continue to face issues with the app. The company’s statement implies that the outage is the primary cause of the problems, but it remains unclear when users can expect the issues to be fully resolved.
