Valve's New Steam Controller Has Me Hooked

After spending over two weeks with Valve’s new Steam Controller, I can confidently say that it has exceeded my expectations and changed how I play games on my TV. Initially, I was drawn to its customization options and functionality, which reminded me of the Steam Deck’s versatility. However, as I’ve had more time with the controller, I’ve found that its design offers an even better gaming experience than my trusty Deck. The Steam Controller has successfully bridged the gap between handheld console and TV gaming for me, and I’m now finding myself docking my Deck to play on the TV because of how much I enjoy holding this new controller. With its improved ergonomics and intuitive layout, the Steam Controller has become my go-to option for casual gaming at home. While it’s not perfect, the controller’s flaws have been largely overshadowed by its numerous strengths, which make it a compelling choice for anyone looking for a premium gaming experience on their TV.
