Waymo Launches Autonomous Rides to San Francisco International Airport

Waymo has completed its long-awaited entry into the San Francisco International Airport (SFO) market, offering robotaxi rides to select passengers traveling to and from the airport. Following years of negotiations with airport officials, Waymo secured a “Testing and Operations Pilot Permit” in September 2025. The company plans to gradually expand its services as demand increases, aiming to make autonomous Waymo taxis available to anyone who wants them at the airport within the coming months.
