Windows 11 Run Menu Gets Major Redesign with Dark Mode Support

Microsoft is testing a redesigned Windows 11 Run menu, introducing a modern interface with faster performance and dark mode support. The redesign is currently being tested in the Experimental Channel, where it will be available to Windows 11 Insiders. The updated Run menu has seen the removal of the “Browse” button, which was found to have low usage rates. Instead, users can access their user directory by typing “~" in the search bar. Microsoft leveraged code from Command Palette, a utility within PowerToys that offers additional functionality and customization options for the Windows interface.
