Wing expands drone delivery partnership to 150 more Walmarts by 2026
The Alphabet-owned company will be flying its drones above 150 locations this year, including in Los Angeles, St. Louis, Miami, and Cincinnati. This expansion builds on the June announcement that Wing would bring its delivery service to 100 additional stores in Atlanta, Charlotte, Houston, Orlando, and Tampa. Currently operating at around 27 stores, the goal is for Wing to eventually establish a nationwide drone delivery network within its partnership with Walmart. Wing’s drones have been tested successfully at several stores in Atlanta, as well as in Dallas-Forth Worth and Arkansas. The Alphabet-owned company aims to make last-mile deliveries more efficient and cost-effective by utilizing its autonomous drone technology. With this expansion, Wing is one step closer to achieving its goal of widespread adoption and transforming the logistics industry. As the partnership between Wing and Walmart continues to grow, it’s likely that the impact on the retail sector will be significant. Drone delivery has the potential to revolutionize the way packages are delivered, making it faster, more reliable, and environmentally friendly. With more locations set to join the network in 2026, the future of logistics looks brighter than ever for Wing and its partners.
