Microsoft has announced a major restructuring of its gaming division, with Xbox chief Phil Spencer set to leave the company after nearly 40 years in service. Asha Sharma, current president of CoreAI product, is taking over as CEO of Microsoft Gaming, replacing Spencer and fellow departing executive Sarah Bond. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella stated that Spencer’s retirement was part of a long-planned succession process.
