Xbox Leadership Shuffle: Bond Departs Amid Microsoft's Gaming Overhaul
Sarah Bond, the president and COO of Xbox, has announced her departure from the company, effective immediately. In a surprise move, CEO Phil Spencer is also leaving the organization, paving the way for a new leadership structure under EVP Asha Sharma, who will take on the role of EVP and CEO of Gaming. Matt Booty, currently the head of content and gaming studios, has been promoted to EVP and chief content officer. Bond will remain as a Special Advisor to Sharma to ensure a seamless transition and help set the company up for future success amidst Microsoft’s shifting gaming strategy.
