Anthony Joshua Involved in Car Accident in Nigeria
A car accident occurred on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway in Ogun State, Nigeria, resulting in the deaths of two people. British former heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua, 36, was involved in the incident and sustained minor injuries.
According to local police, Joshua’s vehicle collided with another vehicle while he was traveling. The police have taken Joshua to a hospital for treatment and are investigating the cause of the accident.
Witness Adeniyi Orojo reported that Joshua was seated behind the driver when the collision occurred. There were four occupants in the Lexus car involved in the crash: Joshua, the driver, a passenger beside the driver, and another person beside Joshua. The security detail was present in the vehicle behind them at the time of the accident.
Orojo stated that two people died immediately after the crash. Joshua had been spending time in Nigeria following his fight with YouTuber-turned-fighter Jake Paul on December 19, which he won by sixth-round knockout.
