At least four killed in Israeli attacks in southern Lebanon

Lebanon Experiences Increased Violence Amid Ongoing Israeli Military Operations

At least four people have been killed and eight others wounded in recent air strikes by the Israeli military in southern Lebanon, according to reports from the National News Agency (NNA). The NNA also confirmed that two medics were injured while responding to an earlier attack, as their vehicle was struck by an airstrike.

In addition, a drone strike on a car in Haris, Bint Jbeil district, resulted in one fatality and an injury to the driver’s brother. Other strikes targeted homes and buildings in Sajd, Kfar Rumman, and Safad al-Battikh, although casualty information is currently unavailable.

The Israeli military had previously issued warnings of forced displacement for nine towns in southern and eastern Lebanon, citing alleged Hezbollah infrastructure. Residents were advised to evacuate these areas due to the presence of what was described as Hezbollah-related facilities.

A soldier was reportedly killed by a drone launched by Hezbollah near the border, while three Israeli soldiers were injured by a booby-trap drone explosion in southern Lebanon. The ongoing conflict between Israel and Hezbollah has resulted in significant loss of life, with at least 2,840 people killed, almost 8,700 injured, and over one million displaced since March 2.

The United States is set to host peace talks between Israel and Lebanon in Washington on Thursday and Friday.
