Los Angeles Clippers Overcome 14-Point Deficit to Beat Toronto Raptors in Overtime
The Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Toronto Raptors 121-117 on Friday night, overcoming a 14-point deficit to win their fifth game in a row. James Harden scored eight of his 31 points in overtime and added 10 assists for the visiting team.
Ivica Zubac had 16 points and 14 rebounds for the Clippers, who finished the game with a 20-8 surge. Kawhi Leonard did not play due to a sprained right ankle. Scottie Barnes scored 24 points for the Raptors, while Brandon Ingram added 19 points and Jamal Shead had 15 points and 13 assists.
In another matchup, the Brooklyn Nets edged out the Chicago Bulls 26-25 in overtime after blowing a 20-point lead. Michael Porter Jr scored the go-ahead layup with 5.4 seconds remaining to seal the win for the Nets. Noah Clowney added 23 points and 11 rebounds, while Nikola Vucevic led the Bulls with 19 points.
The Cleveland Cavaliers also secured a victory over the Philadelphia 76ers, winning their second game in two nights. Jaylon Tyson scored a career-high 39 points and set up Evan Mobley for the winning bucket. Donovan Mitchell chipped in with 13 points and 12 assists for the Cavaliers.
In other games, the Sacramento Kings beat the Washington Wizards 26-25 after Russell Westbrook made six three-pointers and scored 26 points. Domantas Sabonis had 13 points, six rebounds, and five assists in his first appearance since November 16. The Indiana Pacers defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 39-32, with Jay Huff scoring a career-high 29 points.
The Houston Rockets sealed a victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves 39-32, led by Kevin Durant’s 39-point performance. Alperen Sengun posted 25 points and 14 rebounds for the Rockets before fouling out late.
