Four people, including a child, killed in Ukrainian city under Russian attack

Ukraine Reports Multiple Drone Attacks, Casualties Mount

At least four people have been killed and several others injured in a series of drone attacks carried out by Russian forces across Ukraine. According to local officials, the attacks targeted residential areas in eastern and southern regions of the country.

In the town of Bohodukhiv, a woman and her 10-year-old son were killed, along with a 71-year-old man in the Chernihiv region. Another person was killed and two others wounded in Odesa, while at least nine others were injured by drones striking the Dnipropetrovsk region.

Russian forces fired 11 ballistic missiles and 149 drones across Ukraine overnight, according to the Ukrainian air force. The attacks also damaged residential infrastructure and a gas pipeline in Odesa, with regional Governor Oleh Kiper accusing Russia of committing another war crime against civilians.

Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha has called for the European Union to impose a complete entry ban on Russians participating in the conflict. The EU has not yet made an official statement on the matter.

Separately, ongoing peace talks between Ukraine and Russia, brokered by the United States, remain stalled over issues including the future status of captured territory. Moscow has demanded that Kyiv cede control of part of the Donetsk region, a proposal rejected by Ukrainian officials.

Meanwhile, a man accused of shooting Russia’s deputy military intelligence chief, Lieutenant General Vladimir Alekseyev, in an attempted assassination has been extradited to Russia from the United Arab Emirates. The Federal Security Service has accused Ukraine of ordering the attack, which Ukraine denies.
