Global protests held in support of Palestinian and Iranian causes

Thousands of People Gather Worldwide for Annual al-Quds Day Marches

Tens of thousands of individuals participated in al-Quds Day marches across numerous countries, including Iran, Malaysia, Indonesia, Kashmir, and Yemen. The event, which takes place on the final Friday of Ramadan, aims to demonstrate solidarity with Palestine and opposition to Israeli occupation.

In Tehran, large crowds gathered to protest against Israel and the United States. Demonstrators chanted slogans such as “death to Israel” and “death to America.” This year’s observance coincided with US-Israeli military operations in Iran, which have resulted in at least 1,444 fatalities, including Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

The event has been held annually since 1979, when it was established by Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini. This year’s marches took place despite ongoing US and Israeli strikes in the region. In Kashmir, protesters burned mock coffins bearing images of US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu while shouting slogans against the United States and Israel.

The event has been marked by widespread participation worldwide, with demonstrators expressing solidarity with both Palestinians and Iranians. The UK banned London’s al-Quds Day march for the first time in 40 years, citing concerns over public disorder and potential confrontations between opposing groups. According to Iran’s Health Ministry, at least 18,551 people have been injured in US-Israeli attacks on Iran since February 28.

The marches were held in various cities across the globe, including Tehran, Malaysia, Indonesia, Kashmir, and Yemen. The event aims to raise awareness about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and promote solidarity with those affected by it.
