Iran rules out future talks with the United States

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi has stated that future negotiations with the United States are not currently being considered.

According to Araqchi, who spoke with PBS News, a “bitter experience” has led him to rule out any further discussions with the US. He noted that despite progress made during previous rounds of talks, the US ultimately chose to take military action against Iran.

Araqchi’s comments suggest that the Iranian government views its past interactions with the US as having been unsuccessful and potentially harmful. The fact that the US attacked Iran despite making progress in negotiations has led Araqchi to conclude that further dialogue is no longer warranted.

It is worth noting that Araqchi did not specify what exactly was meant by “bitter experience” or provide further details on the nature of the past talks. However, his statement implies that the Iranian government feels that its efforts to engage in negotiations with the US were ultimately for naught.

Araqchi’s comments come as tensions between Iran and the US remain high. The two countries have been at odds over a range of issues, including Iran’s nuclear program and regional security concerns.
