Israel Conducts Strikes in Gaza Amid Ceasefire Violations

Israeli Military Continues Operations in Gaza

The Israeli military has continued its operations in northern Gaza, demolishing structures and blocking humanitarian aid. The attacks occurred despite a ceasefire deal mediated by the United States in October.

According to medical sources, at least three Palestinians were killed on Sunday in separate incidents in Khan Younis. A 15-year-old boy, a fisherman, and another man were shot dead east of Khan Younis. In addition, several people were injured by Israeli fire east of the Bureij refugee camp.

In Gaza City to the north, Israeli forces have been demolishing homes and civilian infrastructure within the Tuffah neighbourhood. The Israeli army confirmed that it was destroying “terrorist infrastructure above and below ground”, including tunnels in Beit Lahiya.

Drones were also used by Israeli forces to drop explosives on several homes in eastern Gaza City. The Shujayea and Zeitoun neighbourhoods of Gaza City were hit with artillery shelling.

According to the Ministry of Health, at least 71,386 Palestinians have been killed and 171,264 others injured since the start of the war in October 2023. Since the ceasefire was signed less than three months ago, at least 420 people have been killed.

The Israeli military has also blocked a significant amount of international humanitarian aid from reaching Gaza, despite claims that there is no shortage of aid. Several prominent international aid groups, including Doctors Without Borders and the Norwegian Refugee Council, have been banned from operating in Gaza.
