Three Palestinians killed in Israeli attack on Maghazi refugee camp
An Israeli attack on a vehicle in the central Gaza Strip has resulted in the deaths of three Palestinian police officers and injured several others. The Palestinian Ministry of the Interior and National Security has condemned the incident, stating that the victims were all police personnel.
According to reports, an Israeli combat drone targeted a vehicle near the entrance of the Maghazi refugee camp on Friday. Witnesses described a civilian vehicle burning after it was struck on Salah al-Din Street at the entrance of the camp. The bodies of the deceased have been taken to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir el-Balah.
The Ministry of Interior has issued a statement condemning the attack, calling for international pressure on Israel to cease its targeting of police personnel and resources. The US-brokered ceasefire agreement has been in effect since October 10, 2025, but violations have continued to be reported.
As of Thursday, Gaza’s Health Ministry reported that Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement had resulted in the deaths of 1,031 Palestinians and injured 3,309 others. Since Israel’s military operation began in October 2023, more than 73,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza.
Hamas has announced consultations with other Palestinian factions and regional mediators to reach understandings on implementing the ceasefire agreement. A delegation from Hamas is expected to visit Cairo in the coming days to discuss its response to proposed approaches.
