Israeli Strikes Hit Southern Lebanons Al-Tuffah Region

Israeli Military Conducts Strikes in Southern Lebanon

The Israeli military has launched attacks on sites in southern Lebanon, targeting Hezbollah infrastructure according to the Israeli military. The strikes occurred in the Iqlim al-Tuffah region, where multiple raids were reported.

According to eyewitnesses, the attacks have resulted in civilian casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure. No official confirmation of casualties has been provided by the Lebanese government or international organizations.

The strikes took place amidst ongoing near-daily Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon. The Lebanese Al-Mayadeen channel confirmed that Israeli aircraft targeted the al-Tuffah region with a series of raids. Hezbollah’s Al-Manar TV reported that Israeli “quadcopter” drones dropped explosive devices in the town of Markaba for the third time.

In recent days, Israeli strikes have killed one person and wounded 29 others in Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley. A 16-year-old Syrian boy was reportedly killed in a strike on Kfar Dan near Baalbek.

The conflict between Israel and Hezbollah has resulted in significant loss of life since a ceasefire agreement was reached in November 2024. The United Nations reports that over 300 people have been killed, including 127 civilians. Since the start of the war in October 2023, Israel has reported killing more than 4,000 people and injuring around 17,000 others.

The Israeli military continues to carry out attacks on Lebanon, despite a ceasefire agreement. The Lebanese government has stated that it is nearing completion of its commitment to disarm Hezbollah south of the Litani River, but the group has rejected this claim.
