Luka Doncic led the Los Angeles Lakers to a 142-111 victory over the Washington Wizards on Friday. The guard achieved his sixth triple-double of the season with 37 points, 13 assists, and 11 rebounds. Doncic’s performance was notable for its consistency, as he reached a triple-double by halftime with 26 points, 11 assists, and 10 rebounds.
The Lakers’ offense was dominant, shooting 52-of-85 (61.2%) from the field. Deandre Ayton contributed 28 points and 13 rebounds, while LeBron James added 20 points and six assists. The team’s high-scoring performance marked their second-highest of the season.
Meanwhile, the New York Knicks secured a 127-97 win over the Portland Trail Blazers. Karl-Anthony Towns led the Knicks with a double-double, posting 14 points and 20 rebounds. Jalen Brunson scored a team-high 26 points for the Knicks, who have now won five straight games.
The Trail Blazers struggled to contain the Knicks’ offense, which allowed fewer than 100 points in four of their last five victories. The loss marked the fourth consecutive game for Portland, which has also lost its last four East Coast road trips.
