Russia launches airstrikes in eastern Ukraine region

Multiple Attacks Hit Ukrainian Towns on Black Sea and Central Ukraine

Russia has continued its attacks on Ukraine for the past 24 hours, with several incidents reported overnight on Thursday and in the early hours of Friday. At least one person has been killed and several injured.

In the Odesa region, a Russian drone attack damaged port infrastructure overnight, injuring two people. Two high-rise residential buildings were also damaged, causing fires and destroying apartments. Regional Governor Oleh Kiper confirmed the damage on Telegram.

Meanwhile, in the Black Sea port city of Mykolaiv, Mayor Oleksandr Sienkevych reported that the Russian army attacked with drones, causing damage to private sector buildings and starting a fire. Residents are advised to remain sheltered due to ongoing threats.

On Thursday night, Ukraine launched a drone attack on Russia’s Black Sea port of Tuapse, targeting energy infrastructure. The General Headquarters in the Krasnodar Region reported that a fire broke out at the seaport terminal as a result of the attack.

The Russian army also attacked three districts of the Dnipropetrovsk region in central Ukraine with drones and artillery, causing damage to infrastructure. In addition, attacks were reported on several other areas, including Kherson, where private houses, multistorey buildings, and civilian cars were damaged.

According to reports from Interfax, strikes were also reported in the Nikopol district, affecting communities in Nikopol, Marhanetska, and Chervonohryhorivska. The Ukrainian Defence Ministry confirmed that one person was killed and eight injured as a result of Russian attacks in the Kherson community.
