Russia launches attack on Ukraines Kharkiv region

Seven People Injured in Drone Strike in Ukrainian City of Kharkiv

A drone strike on a civilian enterprise in the northeastern Ukrainian city of Kharkiv has resulted in at least seven people being injured, according to local officials. The incident occurred on Wednesday.

Kharkiv regional governor Oleh Syniehubov stated that a fire broke out as a result of the enemy strike, and three women and four men were hospitalized with serious injuries. Mayor Ihor Terekhov confirmed Syniehubov’s remarks, stating that preliminary information indicated two people had been killed.

The city of Kharkiv, which is approximately 30km from the Russian border, has been a frequent target of Russian air and drone attacks since Russia’s full-scale invasion began four years ago. The city withstood early advances by Moscow’s forces but was later pushed back in 2022.

The United States is engaged in diplomatic efforts to facilitate a peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia, although progress has been hindered by the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
