Kyiv Attacked by Russian Forces, Multiple Injuries Reported

Russian forces have launched attacks on Kyiv, Ukraine’s capital city, resulting in significant damage and injuries to civilians. According to Mayor Vitali Klitschko, the attacks targeted Podilskyi and Obolonsky districts, causing large fires and destruction of residential buildings.

In Podilskyi district, a 16-storey building was hit by rocket fragments, leading to a fire at a nearby residential building. A 12-year-old child was killed in the incident, as reported by Klitschko on Telegram. Additionally, at least 10 people, including several medics, were injured.

Rescuers have also pulled another child and her mother from the rubble in Podilskyi. The attack also affected Obolonsky district, where falling rocket debris caused a large fire at a non-residential building. Cars were also reported to be on fire.

Tymur Tkachenko, head of Kyiv’s military administration, has warned civilians to shelter until a missile alert is lifted. Meanwhile, another city, Dnipro, was targeted by Russian forces, resulting in injuries to 10 people, including a 40-year-old woman hospitalized in serious condition.

In other parts of Ukraine, drone strikes on Kharkiv and Odessa have resulted in injuries to civilians. A drone strike in Kharkiv wounded a 77-year-old woman and a 66-year-old man, while an attack on Odessa injured five people.
