Switzerland Secures 4-1 Victory Over Bosnia and Herzegovina at World Cup

In a dramatic turn of events, Switzerland scored all five of its goals in the final 30 minutes to defeat Bosnia and Herzegovina 4-1 in Group B at the World Cup. The match, held at the Los Angeles Stadium on Thursday, saw Tarik Muharemovic sent off for hauling down Breel Embolo in the 80th minute.

The Swiss team took advantage of the man advantage, with Ruben Vargas and Granit Xhaka scoring goals before Johan Manzambi came on as a substitute. Manzambi scored two late goals, including a side volley that gave too much power for the Bosnian goalkeeper.

Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Ermin Mahmic equalized in second-half stoppage time with a thunderous volley, but the team was unable to capitalize on its momentum. The match marked Switzerland’s first win in Group B, while Bosnia and Herzegovina remains on one point.

The result leaves Switzerland in command of the group, despite an unexpected 1-1 draw against Qatar in their tournament opener. Qatar and Canada will face off in a later Group B clash in Vancouver, where the winner will draw level with Switzerland.
