Tariff Refund Process Begins for Businesses, Uncertainty Remains for Customers

The US government has initiated a process for businesses to receive refunds on tariffs imposed as part of trade agreements. The refund amount is $166 billion.

A portal, known as CAPE, has been established by the Trump Administration to facilitate the refund process. This portal allows businesses to apply for and track their refunds.

Shipping companies have announced plans to pass along any refunds they receive from the government to their customers.
