Tehran Residents Endure Heavy Bombing from Israel and US Forces

Tehran Experiences Intense Night of Bombardment

A day after a bombing incident at fuel reserves in Tehran, the Iranian capital was hit with a series of intense airstrikes by the United States and Israel. The attacks began overnight on Tuesday, with warplanes flying low over the city and dropping heavy explosives that caused significant damage to neighborhoods across the city.

According to reports, dozens of strikes were carried out during the day, targeting cities such as Isfahan and Karaj in addition to Tehran. US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth stated that Tuesday would be “our most intense day of strikes inside Iran”.

Residents who witnessed the attacks described the experience as frightening, with some reporting bright flashes of light emanating from the explosions. Several residents took to their rooftops or balconies to watch and record footage of the strikes.

The Iranian government has imposed a nationwide internet blackout for an 11th consecutive day, limiting access to information and communication. The blackout is being enforced by the government, which has signaled that it will remain in place until further notice.

Residents have reported difficulties accessing reliable information due to the blackout, with some purchasing virtual private networks (VPNs) on the black market at high costs. The government has also been jamming satellite connections to prevent people from watching foreign-based Persian-language television networks, which are considered “terrorist” outlets by the government.

The judiciary has warned of prosecution for individuals recording footage of the war without permission. Despite the blackout, journalists have been allowed access to report on the situation, but require government permits to do so.
