US and Israel Launch Attack on Iran; Iran Responds with Missile Strikes

The United States and Israel launched an attack on Iran on Saturday, resulting in explosions reported across Tehran and multiple cities across the country. The Iranian government has responded by launching waves of missiles and drones at Israel and several military bases in the Middle East where US forces operate.

According to reports, the attacks began at approximately 9:27am local time, with multiple explosions heard in the capital city of Tehran. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) stated that the operation would continue until the enemy is decisively defeated.

Iran has warned that if it were attacked, it would respond by targeting US military facilities across the region. The country’s National Security Council has advised residents to leave Tehran amid fears of further escalation.

The attack on Iran appears to have resulted in significant damage and casualties. Iranian media reported strikes on key government ministries, military compounds, and other locations, including an elementary girls’ school that killed at least 51 people. The city of Isfahan was also targeted, with production plants and research facilities reportedly hit.

In response to the attack, Iran has launched missile strikes against Israel and several US military bases in the Middle East. Most of these attacks have been intercepted by Israeli forces. The country’s Ministry of Defense reported that it had thwarted several attacks on its territory, but also acknowledged that a Pakistani national was killed in the UAE after being struck by falling debris.

The situation remains fluid, with multiple explosions reported in Israel and ongoing reports of missile strikes across the region.
