US and Israel launch joint military operation against Iranian targets

US President Donald Trump has announced that “major combat operations” in Iran have begun, stating that the objective is to defend the American people by eliminating threats from the Iranian regime. According to Trump, this operation aims to address “imminent threats from the Iranian regime”.

In response to the US-Israeli joint attacks on Iran, Iranian officials have promised a “crushing” retaliation. State TV reported that Iran is preparing to take revenge on Israel and deliver a strong response.

It has been stated that the US military’s involvement in this attack is aimed at “decapitating the Iranian regime”. Sources indicate that the attacks were concentrated on areas where Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei may be sheltering, with the intention of taking out the head of the regime and assessing the subsequent situation.

The area targeted near the offices of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in Iran’s capital was reportedly near his residence. According to an official, Khamenei is not currently in Tehran and has been relocated to a secure location.

Some countries have expressed caution about the US attack, with concerns raised about the potential outcome of removing the supreme leader and whether it would lead to a pro-US government.
