US and Israeli Military Companies Profit from Ongoing Iran Conflict

US Defence Companies Agree to Increase Production of Weapons Systems

A meeting at the White House on Friday has resulted in a decision by major US defence companies to “quadruple production” of certain weapons systems. The agreement was reached among the chief executives of RTX (formerly Raytheon), Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Northrop Grumman, BAE Systems, L3Harris Missile Solutions, and Honeywell Aerospace.

The companies are currently sitting on billions of dollars in order backlogs, with some exceeding the gross domestic products of several nations. The US is already the world’s largest military spender, with a budget of nearly $1 trillion in 2025. The goal is to increase this amount to $1.5 trillion by 2027.

The meeting comes as the war with Iran continues, with billions of dollars already spent on weapons. According to the US military’s Central Command (CENTCOM), Operation Epic Fury has drawn on more than 20 distinct weapons systems across air, sea, land, and missile defence forces.

Some of the specific weapons systems being used in the conflict include the Tomahawk missile, Precision Strike Missile (PrSM), Patriot missile batteries, and Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) systems. The US has also deployed Low-Cost Uncrewed Combat Attack System (LUCAS) drones, as well as B-1 bombers, F-15 fighter jets, and F-35 Lightning II stealth fighters.

The meeting has resulted in increased production of these weapons systems, with the companies agreeing to quadruple their output. The exact details of the agreement have not been disclosed.
