US Conducts Bombing Operation in Venezuela Region

US President Donald Trump has announced that the United States conducted a “large-scale strike” against Venezuela. According to Trump, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife were captured and flown out of the country following the operation, which was carried out in conjunction with US law enforcement.

The strikes took place early on Saturday, marking a dramatic escalation in tensions between the two countries. Initial reports from US media outlets, including Fox News and CBS News, confirmed that the United States had carried out strikes within Venezuela’s territory.

In response to the attack, Venezuelan President Maduro accused the United States of an “extremely serious military aggression” and denounced it before the international community. He stated that Venezuela rejects, repudiates, and denounces the action.

Other countries have also reacted to the incident. Colombian President Gustavo Petro expressed alarm on social media, stating that Venezuela had been attacked and reiterating his country’s commitment to peace, respect for international law, and protection of human dignity.

Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez issued a strongly worded condemnation, accusing Washington of carrying out a “criminal attack” against Venezuela. He described the US action as “state terrorism” directed not only at the Venezuelan people but also at “Our America”. Iran’s foreign ministry has also condemned the attack, stating that it “strongly condemns the American military attack on Venezuela and the flagrant violation of national sovereignty and territorial integrity”.

The international community is responding to the incident, with various countries issuing statements condemning the US action.
