US-Iran Conflict Enters 44th Day with Ongoing Military Operations

US-Iran Talks in Islamabad Conclude Without Agreement

Negotiations between the United States and Iran, which lasted for 21 hours, came to an end on Sunday in Islamabad, Pakistan. The talks did not result in a mutually acceptable agreement.

According to reports, both sides have expressed disagreement over the outcome of the negotiations. Vice President JD Vance, who led the US delegation, stated that no agreement was reached and acknowledged its implications for Iran. He also noted that the failure to reach an agreement may be more concerning for Iran than for the United States.

Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar confirmed that Islamabad will continue to facilitate peace talks between the two countries. The ceasefire, which has been in place since the start of the conflict six weeks ago, is now at risk due to the lack of a permanent resolution.

The conflict has resulted in significant loss of life, with most casualties occurring in Iran. The war has also had a substantial impact on global oil and gas prices.
