Israel Signs Largest Deals with Several Countries in 2025

Israel Secures Multibillion-Dollar Deals with Trading Partners in 2025

In 2025, Israel signed several record-breaking deals with its trading partners, totaling multibillion-dollar amounts in the gas, technology, and military sectors. One notable deal was approved by Prime Minister Netanyahu in December, which will supply Egypt with up to $35 billion worth of gas from the Leviathan field through 2040.

The contract marks the largest energy deal in Israel’s history and further solidifies Egypt’s reliance on Israeli energy amid its ongoing energy crisis. Egypt established diplomatic ties with Israel in 1979 and stated that the deal is a purely commercial arrangement, without any political dimensions.

In addition to the energy deal, Israel also secured several record-breaking deals in the technology sector, including Google’s $32 billion acquisition of cybersecurity company Wiz, and Nvidia’s $1.5 billion investment in establishing Israel’s largest artificial intelligence data centre.

The country also signed a $6.5 billion Arrow 3 deal with Germany, featuring an advanced defence system for intercepting long-range ballistic missiles, making it the largest military export in Israel’s history.

Trade data from 2019 to 2023 shows that Israel’s trade relationships were concentrated among a small group of partners, with the top 10 accounting for more than half of total trade. The country’s global trade in 2024 consisted of $91.5 billion in imports and $61.7 billion in exports.

Israel’s electronics sector is a key driver of its export economy, led by significant players such as Intel, Elbit Systems, and Orbotech. The country is also a leading exporter of pharmaceuticals, driven by companies like Teva Pharmaceuticals, and a global leader in the diamond trade.
