San Antonio Hosts Nation’s Largest Martin Luther King Jr. March

On January 15, hundreds of thousands of people gathered in San Antonio for the nation’s largest Martin Luther King Jr. march. The event marked the 39th annual celebration of Dr. King’s birthday.

The march took place in downtown San Antonio, with participants from across the country attending the event. According to reports, the turnout was significant, with many attendees taking part in the festivities and events organized by local organizations.

Following the march, it was announced that the Martin Luther King Academy would be demolished as a result of the 39th annual MLK March. VIA Metropolitan Transit also provided information about ride options for those attending the event from two convenient locations.

Additionally, city services were temporarily opened and closed on January 15 to accommodate the events surrounding the march.
