Ukraine Reports Multiple Attacks by Russia
At least 12 people have been killed and dozens injured in a series of attacks across Ukraine, according to Ukrainian authorities. The National Police of Ukraine’s press service reported that seven settlements were targeted, including the cities of Dobropillya, Druzhkivka, Kramatorsk, Mykolaivka, Sloviansk, Oleksiyevo-Druzhkiva, and Kuritsyne.
The attacks resulted in significant damage to civilian infrastructure, with 42 civilian objects destroyed, including 16 residential buildings. At least 14 apartment buildings and 11 cars were also damaged. A medical institution, an evacuation vehicle, and an ambulance were among the structures destroyed.
In addition to the Donetsk region, Russian missile and drone attacks occurred in northeastern Ukraine’s Kharkiv region, resulting in at least three deaths and 21 injuries. In another incident, two people were killed and four others injured in a Russian attack on the village of Yampil in the Shostka district.
Russian shelling also affected central Ukraine’s Dnipropetrovsk region, with at least one person killed and five others injured. The attacks caused extensive damage to civilian infrastructure, including fires breaking out in Slobozhanske and Petrykivska.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy commemorated International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression by remembering the children killed during Russia’s ongoing war on Ukraine. According to Zelenskyy, at least 707 Ukrainian children have been killed in the conflict, which began in February 2022.
The Kremlin has responded to Zelenskyy’s call for a face-to-face meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin by stating that the Ukrainian president is welcome to meet his counterpart “any time” in Moscow.
