World Cup Round of 32 Teams and Schedule Announced Today

FIFA World Cup Knockout Stage to Begin on Sunday in Los Angeles

The FIFA World Cup is nearing the end of its group stage matches and will transition to the knockout stages starting on Sunday. The tournament features a record 48 teams this year, with only 32 advancing to the next round.

According to the tournament schedule, the top two teams from each of the 12 groups, along with the eight best third-place finishers, will advance to the knockouts. The knockout phase consists of several stages: the round of 32, followed by the round of 16, quarterfinals, semifinals, and a playoff for third place.

The final match is scheduled for July 19. As of now, 28 teams have secured their spots in the knockouts. These teams include Colombia, Argentina, France, Norway, Germany, USA, Mexico, Switzerland, Canada, Brazil, Morocco, South Africa, Ivory Coast, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ecuador, Netherlands, Japan, Sweden, Australia, Spain, Cape Verde, Paraguay, Egypt, England, Ghana, Portugal, Belgium, and Senegal.

The knockout stage will begin on Sunday, with the round of 32 taking place from June 28 to July 3. The subsequent stages will follow: the round of 16 (July 4-7), quarterfinals (July 9-11), semifinals (July 14-15), and a bronze medal match (July 18).
